YouTube Go, Google’s latest variation in their collection of mobile apps has just left the beta stage.

YouTube introduces YouTube Go for users that have to watch their data in regions where access to high-speed wireless internet is not abundant. Currently the app is available in India and Indonesia.

YouTube Go makes use of compression to allow even users with a minimal internet connection to stream videos. This will not only improve accessibility to content by easier connection, but it will also reduce the use of data and keep down data bills for users on a budget.

phone download dataTo further manage data usage in a low-bandwidth situation the app makes it possible to download clips to your phone to later watch them offline. Clips can also be shared between phones via Bluetooth.
