Been wanting to keep track of who is using your content on YouTube? Now you can!
If you make popular and successful videos on YouTube your content is attractive for scammers to copy and reupload. Now there’s a function quite similar to Content ID that will allow Creators to detect copies of their content.
YouTube’s new Copyright Match Tool allows Creators to find out if their content is being uploaded to another channel on YouTube by searching for matches. The process is kept simple. You just upload your original content and taking into account your upload date YouTube will scan all videos that are uploaded after this date.
When there’s a match you will be notified and you can decide what to do.
-You can ignore the match
-You can contact the uploader of the video
-You can request removal
Make sure the video doesn’t fall within fair use before requesting removal.
